I really wanted to write more of her story
but only
she knows what that is; I think you get the picture.
She saw this guy at a crafts fair. It was held in
the community center building that sat off to the side in a trapezoidal
park nestled within the gently rolling hills of the neighborhood. It was
also used as the polling center when election day occurred.
He looked familiar
but she couldn't quite place...oh
yeh! He was the gentleman that mom talked to in the hospital. He's casually
looking at all the different wares. A framed production of a cat sitting
with its back to the viewer's perspective catches his eye and wallet. The
cat's coat is a burnished orange and black
patterned like brush and shrubbery.
The artist has written
beside her signature:
"If I sit really still...."
